I’ve been a recruiter for years, sat in thousands of interviews done on the phone, on Skype, and in person, but I’d never done recorded video interviewing… until this summer.
At first I was hesitant – I could well have called this post Confessions of a Technophobe Recruiter – and maybe after years of interviewing, I thought there was nothing to add to the techniques that have worked for me before. I was wrong.
What is pre-recorded video interviewing?
This is not a live interview over a medium like Skype. In pre-recorded video interviewing a candidate receives an invitation to record her answers to your questions on her own computer, on her own time.
